Amazon Boxing Day and January sales
Amazon's Boxing Day and January sales are the next round of deals to have your eye on for any discounts you missed out on this year. With Echo devices, Samsung tablets, iPads, MacBooks, laptops and 4K TVs all receiving significant price cuts during the November sales and into December, we're expecting to see some of the best Amazon Boxing Day sale deals ever this year.
Traditionally, the best Boxing Day sales start on December 26. However, we've seen retailers launch their Boxing Day events early in the past - sometimes before Christmas - and there's every chance the Amazon Boxing Day sales could start before Saturday 26 (when it does, you'll find the best deals here).
After all, Amazon has previous on this front. The company ripped up the sale rulebook earlier this year by launching its Black Friday deals in mid October, straight after Amazon's annual Prime Day sale. In doing so, it forced many other UK retailers to go early with their offers too.
And the price cuts at Amazon in the last few months have been big. Many of the deals in last year's Amazon Boxing Day and January sales have been beaten already, and we expect to see this trend continue. Often, Boxing Day has some of the biggest discounts of the year as retailers look to shift stock - and given the shipping delays we're starting to see at the moment, there's a fair chance there may be more stock to sell than usual after Christmas.
All this means that not only are you likely to find slightly cheaper prices this Christmas than last year, but of course in many cases - including TVs and laptops - there are now newer models on offer as well, giving you access to new features for less.
Below, you'll find all our predictions for the hottest items in the Amazon Boxing Day sales, based on what we saw last year and the offers we've seen so far in 2020. Once the deals officially start, we'll round up all the best ones here on this page.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of excellent discounts already live in Amazon's Last Minute Christmas sale, so if you can't wait until Boxing Day, have a browse of our top picks you can buy now.

When will the Amazon Boxing Day sales begin in 2020?
Amazon Boxing Day sales traditionally kick off as you would expect, on December 26. However, this year we were seeing Black Friday offers as early as October and there are still excellent offers flying off the shelves right now.
Not only that, but in recent years, Amazon's Boxing Day sales have started as soon as Christmas Eve. That means we would keep a close eye over the entire Christmas week, and it's likely that those Boxing Day deals will merge into January sales in the week after as well.
What to expect from the Amazon Boxing Day and January sales?
Amazon has gone hard on its offers this year, to stay ahead of the increased online competition in 2020. That means you can expect big things from the Amazon Boxing Day and January sales this year, but there are some products you can rely on a little more.
Echo and Fire devices always see discounts over big sales periods like this. With the 4th generation now on the shelves (and seeing their own deals over the November event), those prices are dropping even further than you might expect as well.
Amazon is also usually an excellent place to find deals on TVs, headphones, and wearables in particular, with the retailer holding leading price drops on everything from LG OLED TVs to the Apple Watch and Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones so far in 2020.
How long will Amazon's Boxing Day sales last?
Amazon's Boxing Day sales usually taper off a couple of days after Christmas, but you won't be short of discounts in limbo week. The January sales pick up right where Boxing Day left off, often with the same products discounted as well.

Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen): £34.99 £24.99 at Amazon

The Echo Show 5 is the best way to be able to interact with Amazon's Alexa voice assistant in a speaker that allows for a screen to show you certain elements. We've seen this model drop down to £39.99 so far in 2020, so there might be some improvement on this £50 sales price from last year.

The Fire HD 8 is a cheap tablet that's small enough to take everywhere and an ideal way to consume Amazon content. We've seen it even cheaper this year as well.
